Well..so far I think Barak O’Bama is doing an absolutely horrible job as president. He so far has managed to break just about every promise he has made to the American people in that he has told GM to fire Rick Wagner and essentially declare bankruptcy, yet he continues to bail out the financial sector. My problem with this is that GM actually produces something of value in the US, and the Banks do not. The banks don’t even create the money…the fed does, and these banks have been taking mine and your money and have been gambling it away with risky investments, which is what the Glass-Steagal act of 1933 actually prohibited. This act was removed under Clinton in ’99 I believe.
Also, Barak has said he will “bring down” the Number of troops in Iraq, since becoming president, however he is increasing our presence in Afghanistan….so we can do what? Burn poppy farms? Destroy more people’s lifes with our wreckless war-mongering? Did we not learn our lesson about invading peoples countries for no specific reason whatsoever? He also has not instilled any kinds of safety nets to safe-guard more people from being hurt because of greed on wall street, and that is exactly why this has occured…too many people have been wreckless with everyones money and have ’caused the bubble that has popped, and those are the people that should pay…not the working class of this country.
He hasn’t done anything to protect our trade policies…instead of putting tariffs on countries to import, slave created goods at a marked up rate once they get here(retailers), he has just continued more of the same horrible trade policies for the past 30 years.
The one good thing that Obama has done is declare the closing of Guantanamo bay, and has declared that we are not going to torture…woohoo! That’s a great thing and all, but doesn’t have much effect on the citizens of this country, because WE NEED JOBS!
We have bailed out the financial sector over, and over again…all while they are flipping us the bird, and slashing jobs, and giving bonuses to their upper-mngmt, for what reason? Dunno..maybe it’s because they ran the company into the ground which allowed them to get free money? I dunno….Then while all that is going on…we flip the bird to our manufacturing base, and say…”Deal with it.”
So far Barak has not been a re-former of any kind. He is dealing the same ‘ol cards all the presidents have been for the last 30 years. I voted for this man because he was the only option We could’ve even came close to for change, and once he got in there…he turned conservative on us…..well..we have to be bi-partisan…we have to kiss the repubs ass….NO YOU DON’T RETARD! You have the majority….if they want to filibuster…make them do it the way they are supposed to….make them stand up there for hours and hours and hours…don’t let them just say…ok….we are pulling the filibuster rule…get 60 votes or don’t vote at all….give me a freakin’ break…Come on Harry…you need to grow some balls and stand up to these guys, and if you don’t…head your asso back to searchlight where you came from and get out of our way.
This country has been taken over by a bunch of greedy, worthless pieces of trash that think nothing of the people and only of themselves and the large corporations that line their pockets on a daily basis.
I voted for Barak and I am about as left wing as you can go. I consider myself to be a socialist because when it comes to the protection of the people and their lifes…that is the only solution. You can’t say…pull yourself up by your bootstraps anymore, because those companies we work for have stolen those bootstraps and then smacked us in the face with them.
We need to be out in the streets revolting this fascist government…All of them need replacing and we are the only ones that can do that.
